Sephora Beauty Insider: Points, Multipliers, and Redemption Traps

Beauty Insider is easy to join and easy to overvalue. Points are a rebate with a menu. The menu is where people lose.
Do the cents-per-point math
If 500 points become a $10 reward, that is 2 cents a point. A 100-point sample bag can be far worse. Multiplier events are only a win if you were going to buy anyway.
Rouge is a spending trophy
The higher tier’s birthday gift and event access can be nice. They are not a reason to manufacture $1,000 of makeup to qualify. If you are close to a tier, finish with restocks you already use—not new launches.
Bottom line
Clip the points to a statement credit or a product you repurchase. Treat multiplier days like a coupon, not like a personality.
