Hi, I’m Leon — the person behind NewsFlash. I started this site after one too many “unmissable deals” that turned out to be anything but. A 70%-off sticker on a price that had quietly doubled. A free-shipping offer that only applied to one colorway. A cashback bonus that expired the day I hit the threshold.
I got tired of feeling outsmarted at checkout, so I started doing the math myself — and I kept the notes. NewsFlash is those notes, published as guides.
Why I started NewsFlash
I’m not a retailer, a coupon network, or a marketing agency. I’m an everyday shopper who reads the fine print for fun. I spend my weekends comparing price histories, testing cashback portals with small orders, and screenshotting the exclusions sections nobody reads.
Everything on this site comes from that habit: verify the price, check the terms, run the math, then decide whether the “deal” is actually worth your time.
What I actually do
- Run the numbers on memberships, bundles, and cashback offers — the lifetime value, not the headline discount
- Verify promotions against merchant terms before I recommend them
- Publish checklists you can use at checkout in two minutes
- Call out weak deals — expired codes, inflated reference prices, and fake urgency
My editorial rules
- If an offer is expired or misleading, I say so — I don’t recycle old codes to look busy
- Prices change fast; every guide tells you what to verify at checkout
- Commissions never buy a positive review. A weak offer gets called weak
Affiliate relationships
NewsFlash may earn a commission when you click partner links and make a qualifying purchase. This never changes the price you pay. Full details are on our Affiliate Disclosure page.
