Airline portals pay miles instead of cashback. The rates can beat Rakuten on a given day. They also fail silently if you use another coupon extension, a different browser profile, or a gift-card checkout the merchant excludes.
A posting checklist
- Disable other cashback extensions for that purchase
- Click through once, do not paste the merchant URL later
- Pay with a method the terms allow
- Screenshot the portal confirmation and the order number
- Wait the posted window, then open a ticket with both IDs
