Honey is famous. Capital One Shopping is quieter. Both try codes at checkout and both can pay cashback. Neither replaces reading the exclusion list.
What we tested
We ran both extensions on the same ten checkouts across apparel, electronics accessories, and a big-box site. We recorded: working code, better code missed, cashback rate, and whether the tool delayed checkout.
What showed up
Honey found a usable code more often on smaller shops. Capital One Shopping was more likely to surface a portal-style cashback rate on larger merchants. Both missed a newsletter-only code that was sitting in email.
